We design coding system for the given list of fixed assets, print the codes on special materials (metal, vinyl, sticker papers, SS316, polyester or plastic etc) depending on the client’s choice and use, and affix the inventory control tags on the assets. The printed information can be customized to include company’s logo or specified information. We can also use free hand or extensile to neatly write code numbers on the assets, this is a traditional way of assets coding.
Assets Coding exercise goes hand with the preparation of inventory cards of assets for each room, which is then fixed behind the door to easy assets control movement. Moreover, it involves the preparation of a fixed assets register either manually, using the Kalamazoo system, or using an existing or designing a customized Fixed Assets Register Software.
